After retiring from my job as Facilities Manager for Sony Europe Ltd in Basingstoke I am now helping my Daughter Lauren build her Dog Grooming and Pet Supplies business in Mortimer Common, Berkshire. We purchased the business as a family back in 2015 and have since had great success in significantly building the customer base and employing more staff to get the business to the successes we enjoy today. Most of our custom comes from repeat business or recommendation, which is a great indicator to the very high quality grooming that Lauren demands for all our furry customers.

Trevor is responsible for the facilities management of the Sony building in Basingstoke. This is a 27,500sq mtr demise comprising a mixture of office, warehouse and data centre space. His job involves all aspects of FM including Environmental Health & Safety, Catering, Cleaning, Security, Maintenance, Telecoms, Landscaping, Goods in/Postroom, Fitness centre. Many of these services are provided by 3rd party companies, so Trevor is regularly involved with contract tendering and management of those contracts. Developing trust and building excellent relationships with suppliers is a major requirement of his role. He is routinely involved with office redesign, including moves and changes in excess of 200 people and has a passion for designing innovative working spaces and new ways of working allowing people to better utilise and get more from their working space.Another strength Trevor has is to be able to build a strong team of individuals in order to provide an excellent service to his clientsFinancially Trevor has responsibility for a £multimillion site FM operational and capital budget.

Responsible for Managing a team of Regional Service Executives who visited approx 800 independent and national account service centres across south of England

Responsible for all new projects within the Sony Service Centre, including the building of new workshops, reception/admin area and developing the workshop computer systems. Trevor set up and ran the Sony In-Warranty Exchange Program. He also had responsibility for the Health & Safety and environmental management of the site.

Various engineering roles within Sony ranging from QA Engineer, Engineering Officer through to Technical Liaison Officer

Completed an Avionics Apprenticship between 1975 and 1980 then worked on servicing the BA fleet including time spent repairing equipment on Tridents, Tristar, 747, VC10 and Concorde.
