Strategic Leadership of a multi-skilled team which provides IT Services to a wide customer base across the Yorkshire and Humber Region. Working closely with customers to ensure the NHS fully exploits technology to deliver transformational change, service improvement and improved patient carer.Key responsibilities include:• To manage the operations of the team, to report on performance, to ensure customer delivery comprises the delivery of quality outputs to customers according to requirements and to budget;• To act as an ambassador for the Technology and Intelligence (T&I) service, seeking out feedback, queries, complaints, suggestions for improvements to the service.• To drive transformation in combination with value for money in planning, commissioning and service delivery• To liaise closely with CRMs to ensure that the experience of the customer of IT and the whole Business Unit service meets and, where possible, exceeds the service levels agreed• To liaise with appropriate stakeholders, internal and external, maintaining the reputation of the team and supporting the business development initiatives• To take lead responsibility for long term strategic planning• To be responsible for policy development and implementation area of responsibility and supporting across other areas.• To maintain currency of knowledge on the technical issues, horizon scanning for technology to support the business unit objectives and ensuring that customers get value for money from their technical infrastructure• To be responsible for researching in complex and highly technical fields and able to disseminate to non-technical audience.• To think out-of-the-box on any and all issues to do with the Business Unit, to recommend improvements and research into potential improvements to the service.• Represent the organisation in sensitive and political situations, delivering difficult messages where required, to high-level audience.
