Thrive (formerly tetlow king Architects)are an established, residentially led architectural practice providing architecture, urban design, technical and sustainability expertise to the housing sector. I joined the company as design director in August 2012 following 25 years in the housing development industry, the last 10 of which I held senior and influential positions where I was able to champion design quality and help to deliver high quality places for people to live. As a consultant, I am in a position to utilise this extensive experience to inform our daily activities providing commercially viable schemes through high quality design solutions. My years in development have also provided me with an extensive source of contacts which has certainly helped me grow the practice and establish ourselves as a key player in the housing development design fraternity.

Bristol

In this role I returned to the 'coal face' and assumed responsibility for design and planning matters, successfully securing a string of planning permissions. I also played a key role in the development of the 'New Heritage Collection' of house types.

Bristol

In this group/ regional role I was responsible for overseeing design quality and developing design strategies for the continual improvement of residential developement.

Hemel Hempstead

In this role I held the companies portfolio of developments and was responsible for taking these forward through the planning system. A high proportion of these were brownfield regeneration projects.
