My name is Trevor Warner (he/him) and I am a third-year MScOT student who is excited to enter the field of occupational therapy (OT). Previously having done research in cell biology and worked in cannabis industry startups, I returned to the University of Alberta to obtain my Master of Science in OT to better leverage my interpersonal strengths. I believe in personal integrity, compassion, and cultivating a growth mindset in everything I do. Helping others achieve a goal or creatively overcome a challenge is when I am at my best. While change is difficult, I believe a positive attitude, creativity, and hardwork are the necessary tools to surmount any obstacle. In the field of OT, my interests specifically lie with historically marginalized communities including geriatric populations, Indigenous people, 2SLGBTQIA+, and the unhoused.
