Stilt World: 12 years2005- Present- After 8 years developing an original stilt dance technique by combining world class skating physics, diverse dance styles, aerial, and acrobatic skills all onto stilts, Trey decided in 2004 to teach 2 stilt dance workshops in Los Angeles to explore this new extreme dance technique with others. He then produced his first show in Hollywood, Stilt World’s “A Glimpse Into Unexpected Realities” to introduce the concept with wonderful press/reviews from LA Times, the birthing of STILT WORLD in 1995. Torque StrengthDeveloped by Trey KnightWith a hybrid of techniques this series is choreographed into a new comprehensive fitness approach focused on working with the natural power of torque strength.While strengthening the large muscle systems and by focusing on the natural momentum and torque within the body, this series goes beyond into the connective tissues of the muscles and strengthens range of joint rotation. The balance of strength and flexibility in this class leads to less injuries, comprehensive body strength and health.This class is a combination of core, strength, stretch, yoga, pilates, dance and skating techniques. Trey Knight’s roller skating experience is vast and unique. He is one of the rare professional skaters that has trained in multiple disciplines on skates including speed, freestyle, dance, pairs, freedance, compulsory figures, jumps, spins, disco, outdoor, indoor, quad skates and inline. Having trained full time with a team of national and international coaches, Trey qualified and competed in 14 consecutive National Roller Skating Championships receiving 9 National titles. He also competed 4 consecutive years on the international roller skating circuit receiving 7 International titles. These include 2 Gold medals at the South American Championships, 2 Gold at the International German cup, along with 2 Bronze medals and 1 Gold Medal at the World Championships. In addition to these awards, Trey received a bronze medal and a silver medal at the US Olympic Festivals.In addition to numerous awards and titles received during his competitive skating career, he was then in high demand as a private/group and guest coach and choreographer nationally and internationally. Based in San Francisco at the time he trained national/world champions in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Miami, San Antonio, Santa Clara, San Jose, Italy, Germany, Argentina, and France.Once moving to Los Angeles, he has was booked as a principle roller skater for Austin Power’s III, “Goldmember,” a short film with Sean Lennon, Olympic opening ceremonies in Salt Lake City, and Cadbury commercial.
