I started at Terracon as a project geologist directing environmental assessment and cleanup efforts at various properties and brownfield sites. I worked with clients and regulators to navigate the environmental due diligence process, including state voluntary cleanup programs. In 2015, I transitioned to Site Investigations Group Manager and eventually to Environmental Department Manager in 2017, directing a team of project professionals and field personnel in Terracon's Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama offices.While at Terracon, I was a member of the Vapor Intrusion Practice Resource Group and worked with a nationwide team of engineers and geologists to establish VI safety, assessment, and mitigation procedures for the company. I also presented at state and regional technical conferences on various topics including vapor intrusion, brownfields, and environmental ethics.

Managed comprehensive environmental investigations of Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) sites, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Underground and Above-ground Storage Tank (UST & AST) investigations, and other types of environmental assessments including but not limited to: ADEM compliance monitoring of Subtitle D landfills, Alabama Risk-Based Corrective Action (ARBCA) evaluations (UST and non-UST), Corrective Action Plan (CAP) development and implementation, aquifer testing and hydrogeological evaluations including dye trace studies, drilling and lithologic evaluations, and stormwater compliance. As a project manager I was responsible for maintaining client relations, preparing budgets and cost proposals, selecting and maintaining relationships with vendors and subcontractors, and researching and gathering information regarding current industry practices and regulatory compliance.Additionally, I was instrumental in implementing Incremental Sampling Methodology (ISM) at HTSI for soil sampling of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), and metals in brownfield projects and other environmental assessments. Was also principal in researching and implementing vapor intrusion assessments and mitigation technologies.

Primary responsibilities included assisting the company CEO with geological interpretation of coalbed methane targets and other oil & gas research. Additional responsibilities included inventorying and sampling private water wells within production fields, monitoring water well structures and occupied spaces for elevated levels of methane, and directing environmental investigations at UST sites.
