Transportation/Air Quality Planner
Current-Document Collaboration: Partnering with Air Quality Management team members to develop and enhance working documents which outline proposals and established objectives for Air Quality Management centered initiatives.- EPA Funding Application Compliance Support: Assisting rebate applicants in meeting EPA Diesel Emissions Reduction Act requirements, resolving funding application issues.- Webpage Development and Maintenance: Creating and updating project webpages, promoting initiatives to regional stakeholders and funding program prospects.- Innovative Initiatives: Coordinating with Air Quality Management team members and departmental communications staff to brainstorm and implement new ideas.- Monthly Reporting: Preparing and refining relevant sections of monthly progress reports for funding entities.- Legislative Monitoring: Tracking and updating team members and managers on budget and appropriations bills affecting air quality during Texas Legislature sessions.- Regulatory Commentary: Drafting and refining comments on proposed state and federal rule changes to address regional air quality concerns.- Public Outreach: Supporting public outreach events organized by the Air Quality Management team and Transportation Department.- Research and Summary: Reviewing and summarizing key points on pertinent air quality topics for managerial consideration.- Online Newsletter Creation: Developing and distributing newsletters to more than 1,000 subscribers for the SMARTE and SmartWay Affiliate programs.- Webinar Management: Planning, promoting and moderating webinars for the SMARTE program, recruiting and coordinating speakers.- Public Presentations: Presenting at public committee meetings on grant-funded projects related to diesel vehicle and equipment replacement.- Committee Representation: Serving as liaison for the Progress North Texas publications committee, Environmental Justice Liaison group and webpage management.
