Tricia Foster is the owner and director of Drama Kids International of NE Dallas, Rockwall, S Collin and Denton Counties. After teaching children of all ages for twenty years, she was thrilled to find the perfect vehicle through which she could combine her passion for children and theater. Tricia holds a BFA in Theatre Arts performance from Stephens College and attended graduate school at the University of North Texas where she earned a Texas Teaching Certificate in Theatre Arts and English. She has been involved in theatre all her life as an actress, director, and stage manager, working at professional and community theatre venues. When she found a program focused on building confidence, speaking skills and acting skills in children, Ms. Foster knew it was the ideal match for her talents and passion. Prior to launching the Dallas franchise in 2006, Tricia taught at the preschool, elementary and secondary levels. She also owned and operated her own state licensed day care business for fifteen years. Tricia’s love for children has been evident in her community service as well. She served as director and emcee of Kids Town, the children’s worship program at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall Texas, where she was able to use her creative gifts to minister to thousands of children. She also helped develop and launch Rockwall Community Playhouse’s After School Acting Academy. Ms. Foster has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club in an effort to bring the magic of drama to those who might not otherwise experience it. She has also judged many UIL Speech and Drama events. Currently, Ms. Foster’s drama program holds classes in Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland, Mesquite, Forney,Sunnyvale, Murphy, Richardson, Plano, Wylie, Sachse, University Park, Dallas, Denton, Argyle, Lewisville, Flower Mound and Providence Village. Thousands of children have learned speak up clearly with confidence, thus putting them on an easier path for lifelong success!
