Since then, the company has grown to more than 500 people and I went from being the first and only person in data, to leading a department of data analysts, engineers and scientists.When I first joined I designed the data warehouse from scratch and my work mainly focused on - gathering requirements from all departments- defining all company metrics and KPIs- data modelling- data analysis and visualisation - empowering stakeholders with dataAs my team grew, my work mainly consisted of:- project management - guiding and helping analysts with data modelling- collaborating with the engineering department- people management- stakeholder management

Karhoo is a part of Flit Technologies Group founded in 2016 whose majority is owned by Renault. It is a marketplace for ground transportation that connects fleets and customers worldwide. Karhoo has an app for both Android and iOS. I was responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our BigQuery DWH and ETL. I used open source javascript libraries and BigQuery UDFs to build a hexagonal grid that we used to index our geospatial data. I ensured that everyone at Karhoo had access to our data through the visualisation tool Metabase. I held recurring Metabase training sessions for new starters and follow-up sessions for advanced users to enable everyone to make data driven decisions. I build a custom tool to create individualised PDF reports for the users of our marketplace using open-source software. This included everything from communication with stakeholders, data collection and processing to design and development of the reports. The product team and I worked together to improve the user experience and to ensure that data needed for future analysis was tracked. To gain insight into our platform and give decision support to other teams I analysed temporal and geospatial data using Jupyter Notebooks. I also assisted with the development of machine learning models built in Tensorflow.

Drivr was a Danish start-up company reinventing the global ground transport space by providing a cloud-based transport platform for taxi and private hire companies. Drivr had passenger and driver apps for both Android and iOS, serving 1.5 million bookings a year.I was responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our DWH. We used Redshift for our DWH and Etleap and Redash for ETL. Furthermore I analysed our users and product using Mixpanel and created dashboards and reports using Metabase.I worked part-time while writing my Master Thesis. Drivr closed down operations in May 2017. Afterwards, the data team and other key employees were acqui-hired by Karhoo.
