I am a proactive and enthusiastic junior-year student who is studying computer science. I have a keen interest in foreign languages and cultures, and I also enjoy interacting with computers. This year I am participating in the one year Global Fellowship Leadership Program as an exchange student at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan for the 2024-2025 academic year.My drive towards multiculturalism began in middle school. Up until that point, I was surrounded by classmates who all shared the same language and customs. That changed in sixth grade when non-English speech began to resound throughout the hallways and cultural days were vividly celebrated. This is when I began my independent study of Chinese and Japanese. My passion was ignited further in high school where I interacted with non-native English speakers on a daily basis. Without a doubt, going there was a significant factor in shaping who I am today.I owe a great deal of my linguistic feats to the software that hosted the content. My goal is to be able to build software to related language learning to combine my two passions of language and technology. In the end, I aspire to work in an environment similar to that of my early education. I'm open to any internship or research opportunities where I can further develop my technical skills.
