I am an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specific focus on Vertebrate Zoology. I have been passionate about local wildlife since I was a child; with the rise of extinction rates and habitat loss, our conservation efforts are now more important than ever. I am aiming to make a difference with my life and my work. I have spent the beginning years of my career working with both domestic and exotic animals. I pride myself with building strong bonds with “problem” animals, such as those who have shown aggression towards their keepers. I also work a great deal with ambassador species, such as snakes and alligators, in order to educate the public on their importance. In my current position at the Museum of Arts and Sciences, I focus on enrichment and husbandry for our zoo.
