As a student of Sociology, my core enthusiasm lies in reading into the everyday lived-world, interpreting and reflecting on it. To take the theories learnt through academics into garnering insights about the larger world is something I thrive on. My interests lie in the themes of social stratification, culture, gender, and their nodes of intersection. Through my former role as an Executive Assistant at Earthaments, alongside being a postgraduate student of Sociology, I sought to explore the professional world, taking academia’s applicability outside its confines. This experience in the profession arena has been especially insightful, in understanding the grounded importance of ethics, leadership skills, flexibility, integrity and exhibiting a problem-solving approach, through hands-on experiential learning.
