Working on the redevelopment of the Kensington Olympia Exhibition Centre in Kensington, London. Works involve informing the Stage 3 design by carrying out surveys of the existing listed building, investigating construction sequences for complex interventions through the existing building and managing design teams to progress the Stage 4 design to construction.

o Sat Chartered Professional Review successfullyo Manage and develop a team of four graduate site engineers new to the UK construction industry o Identify and raise various technical compliance issues through RFIs and FCRs to the Client o Interface and liaise daily with Client stakeholders and site delivery teams to ensure technical compliance to the specifications and requirements when carrying out the works on site o Advise teams on technical issues by suggesting possible solutions within the specifications o Led the re-drafting of the Reinforced Concrete ITP by liaising with the Digital Engineering team and ensuring that any changes were compliant and more beneficial to site teams o Collaborated with sub-contractors as part of the procurement process to ensure their written documentation was to a high standard for the Client to accept and allow works to begin on site o Raised commercial issues to the commercial and procurement teams and ensured these were captured and communicated to the Client in a timely manner o Trialled and implemented alternative methods of forming construction joints on site to minimise health and safety risks caused by hand-arm vibration syndrome

o Interrogated surveys of the existing structure during demolition to aid structural assessment o Managed and undertook quality control inspections of metal decking for handover o Carried out surveying and setting out taskso Designed low risk temporary works solutions, supervised construction and carried out temporary works checks of these items throughout their lifespan on site o Managed the lift package by influencing design interfaces and coordinating daily with all trades for successful completion of 24 lifts on site o Implemented environmental best practices as the project’s Environmental Coordinator o Actively engaged with the workforce to help address health and safety concerns on site o Successfully championed the project’s BREEAM Excellent and LEED Gold accreditation

Acting as a site engineer. Role includes surveying and setting out, ensuring works are built correctly to a high level of quality, designing temporary works solutions and carrying these out on site, amongst other roles. Experience has been gained from working on high level projects such as the London Gateway Port and The Francis Crick Institute.

Engaging and educating students from all ages to understand the importance of international development and the role of engineering in that process. Workshops are created to convey these messages and ideas.
