Research Assistant in the Cornelison Group at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Striving to repurpose cancer cell signaling to form implantable, therapeutic materials to aid in spinal cord regeneration and restore critical neural function through the creation of effective brain tumor microenvironment models. Completed honors thesis, "Role of glioma-derived stem cell matrix in astrocyte phenotypes for wound healing."

Worked as a project management intern at Eloxx Pharmaceuticals to organize clinical reports and protocols as well as used Microsoft Project to create drug development timelines and Gantt charts. Helped run team meetings and carried out team management duties.

Research Assistant at the Neurobiological Interfaces Lab with Professor Siyuan Rao at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Currently working on creating soft biocompatible hydrogel neural probes to assist with the study of neurological mechanisms and activity in mouse models.

Peer Advisor at School of Engineering Office of Student Affairs at UMass. Assist students with advising appointments, touring and academic career paths. Duties include filing paperwork, answering phone calls, managing emails, directing COE students and navigating UMass websites.

Worked in the Evans Lab as part of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine to design and fabricate SLA 3D printed microneedle arrays. Seeded microneedles with oxygen-sensing perforin to signal oxygen levels in blood in devices such as tourniquets. Used design softwares such as SOLIDWORKS and Autodesk Fusion 360. Presented research and design developments at the end of the program.

Completed and packaged orders from customers for pickup and delivery. Answered phone calls, helped customers find products and occasionally performed managerial duties.

Summer intern at Tufts as part of the Tufts University Biomedical Engineering Research Scholars (TUBERS) Program. Worked on topics such as 3D cell seeding, hydrogel fabrication, metabolic assays, imaging techniques, decellularization, liver metastasis in mouse breast cancer tumors.Presented research poster “Simulating TBI in In Vitro 3D Silk Scaffold Brain Model” which explored the effects of multiple concussions on a 3D brain model with neural cells seeded inside it. Presented research poster “Role of the ECM in Liver Metastasis” which explored the properties of breast cancer cells seeded on different ECM proteins and how that relates to the proliferation of liver metastasis.
