About Troy Baker
My work and research experience since 2002 has focused on development of GaN and AlN substrates which are semiconductor materials. These materials have the potential to improve the electrical efficiency, power density, and lifetime of numerous semiconductor-based energy conversion devices such as LEDs, laser diodes, power electronics, and rf devices.My primary expertise is the chemical vapor deposition method of Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy (HVPE). I have worked on topics including semipolar GaN orientations, high temperature AlN HVPE, free-standing GaN grown by HVPE, and polishing of GaN wafers.
