Management:- Served as the Garrison Resource Manager and Garrison Deputy for Fort Huachuca, AZ.- Managed the Garrison Chapel Appropriated Funds and the Chaplain Tithes and Offering Fund (CTOF), combining to an annual budget of $775,000.- Manage 24 contracts for worship musicians, religious coordinators, and childcare providers.- Supervised 10 chaplains (Peers and subordinates) and 15 enlisted Chaplain Assistants.- Responsible for operations and sanctioning all religious activities on the installation.Administrative:- Collects data and generates reports for Command and higher echelons.- Participates in monthly ethics meetings discussing patient/soldier care, and family issues.- Develop policies and procedures dealing with financial, programs, functions, and expectations.Pastoral Care:- Conducts Protestant Worship (General and Liturgical) and provides pastoral care to attendees.- Conducts funerals and gravesides for deceased military (and family members).- Provide pastoral care and counseling to thousands of soldiers, family members, retirees, and civilian workers.Clinical Chaplain Care:- Conduct patient visits, spiritual assessments, and progress notes.- Led a spirituality group twice/week in the Behavior Health resident ward. - Implemented a standardized spiritual assessment that integrated into multidisciplinary progress notes.- Collaborated in daily multidisciplinary meetings on Behavior Health, Labor/Delivery, Oncology, Surgery, and ICU wards.- Maintained and responded to the hospital (and Garrison) chaplain on-call duty phone. - Conducted traumatic debriefings, grief care, and memorial services for staff to observe the death of patients for medical staff.- Implemented three support groups: cancer support group, grief support group, and “Healing After Combat” support group, that addressed post combat issues.- Deployed to Iraq for 15 months, provided pastoral care to soldiers under duress and grief.
