It Supervisor - Infrastructure Operations
CurrentIn this role, I oversee a broad range of critical technologies and services including servers, storage, power management infrastructure, and IT equipment rooms. My focus is on ensuring the seamless and secure operation of the county’s IT infrastructure, supporting all departments with effective technology solutions.Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure Operations Management: Maintain situational awareness of all infrastructure services and assets. Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training manuals, ensuring accurate work management for both planned and unplanned tasks. Provide technical troubleshooting, manage incident response, and deliver detailed analytics on infrastructure performance and trends.Supervision and Mentoring: Oversee daily activities of the Infrastructure Operations team, ensuring timely, professional service delivery. Plan and organize team schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and mentor staff to enhance their skills and career growth. Ensure consistent, high-quality service across all IT functions.Planning and Budget Management: Execute the lifecycle management plan for server storage and IT equipment, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals. Collaborate with executive leadership to define technology strategies and present senior-level recommendations. Manage relationships with vendors to support procurement and project execution.Staffing and Training: Lead the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, providing ongoing training on new and existing procedures. Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and facilitate continuous professional development through structured training programs.Process Improvement: Implement best practices to optimize team performance, reduce incident response times, and improve service delivery. Continuously analyze team performance, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
