The work of the task force has evolved from a discussion of several OQ-related issues by an ad hoc group of interested stakeholders to a structured and chartered coalition consisting of DCA contractors, OQ service providers, Gas Operators, Regional and National Gas Associations, Industry consulting groups, & subject matter experts who represent various sectors of the Gas Industry from all areas of the nation. Staff from DCA and the American Gas Association also are supporting this effort. This group evolved and built a strong, Industry Coalition on OQ Integrity, establishing high expectations and placing validating measures in place to assure member organizations are performing with “the bar raised higher” than we have often seen in our industry

American Gas Association has a robust Best Practices program for improvement and education in the gas industry. The committee supports the clean, safe and reliable operation of gas distribution by its members.

Chair of the Executive Committee for a $10 million U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training TAACCCT Round 4 grant awarded October 1, 2014, WISE coordinates the efforts of the public workforce system to support sustainable development in our most critical industries. The WISE Consortium is a statewide collaboration, led by three Washington State Centers of Excellence in Clean Energy, Construction and Advanced Manufacturing. Washington’s Centers of Excellence are community colleges designated by the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges as statewide leaders in specialized workforce education and training for industries that help the state's economy grow.

Chairman of the governance board for the DOE Smart Grid Training grant. The $5 million grant covers the five state region of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Utah. The grant target is to develop training for incumbent industry workers, transitional training for obsolete occupations, safety training for field workers and resources for smart grid technology. The grant successfully exceeded design deliverables in the areas of training, job creation and curriculum development.

Manage group responsible for PSE Apprenticeship programs, power generation training, energy workforce development, generation standard procedures, generation standard work practices and generation emergency response programs.

Serve as a subject matter expert in occupational safety and health for assigned business units, accident investigation, root cause investigation, trend analysis, safety leader training and development and safety training activities.
