I started Active Work Solutions as I noticed a need for pro active Vocational Rehabilitation in the United Kingdom. My role included: Management, management of 10 consultants located throughout the UK covering England, Wales and Scottish borders - Vocational and some Medical Rehabilitation - Management of employer’s liability and motor vehicle cases, return to work plans, labour market surveys, transferable skills analyses - Advice to insurers regarding rehabilitation options including review of treatment options - Presentations to customers - Delivering Rehabilitation Consultant and Case Management Training - Staff management, training and mentoring - Vocational reports and labour market analysis for private security returning injured from Afghanistan - Quality assurance, review of reports - Marketing and customer relations - Billing

Responsible for formation and building a new team - Increased the company’s revenue ten fold and it’s workforce by 400%- Responsible for 19 staff who delivered vocational rehabilitation services - Presentations at conferences and training on vocational rehabilitation- Introduction of a pro active vocational rehabilitation model- Introduction of a case manager database- Developed and ran the “Fundamentals of Case Management” training program Duties: - Management of daily operations of the company- In house advice to insurers regarding rehabilitation- Consultancy and advice to insurers, claims handlers and employers- Recruitment, induction and training of staff, allocation of files - Management of medical and return to work cases - Conducting initial assessments, report writing and following up on recommendations, including management of own case load - Liaison with Solicitors, Doctors, Surgeons and other treating medical experts, employers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and other key parties
