These workshops included presentations at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Charlotte St. Art Centre, McCain Art Gallery, Acanthus Gallery and Sunbury Shores as well as educational institutions across the Maritimes.Taught Papel Picado Workshop for Dia de Los Muertos Atlantic Canada in November 2023.

Was hired to work full time in both marketing and recruitment. Was originally the creator, planned and conducted most of the community outreach and all NBCCD community events. Was responsible for creating the Art Craft and Design in the classroom series that became the foundation of NBCCD’s school outreach programs. Was principally in charge of the program development until the last couple of years. Designed a hands-on workshop for each studio of NBCCD that could be delivered in a one hour, in class format. Co-developed a Lotus Chart that aided teachers in demonstrating how their curriculums aligned with NBCCD workshops. Was responsible for the budget, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports. Wrote the next fiscal year’s project and budgets for NBCCD Marketing, as well as project proposals that went to the Deputy Minister. Worked with teams to plan and implement convocation, open houses and other events. Enrollment in the college increased to the point there was a waiting list in the majority of studios. Was in high demand for doing hands on workshops. Received positive feedback from incoming students for being warm, welcoming and providing detailed information and guidance on the college and the process of applying.

Has taught in the Jewellery/Metal Arts Department at the NBCCD. Taught whenever and whatever was requested or needed: Production, Casting, Foundation Visual Arts, To Market, Jewellery History. Also taught in the Entrepreneurship and the Graduate Studies Programs.Biggest challenge was taking the Business courses from "most dreaded" to fun, interactive, informative, "I actually really enjoyed this course" to genuine Aha! moments over budgets and even career direction. The highlight was the "Networking Reality Challenge" where prominent members of the Business community attended networking sessions and provided feedback to the students. Students were "dressed for success", had to gather and handout business cards and make connections. As well as the Business community voting on best networking, best presented etc.... most members requested to be asked back again next year! As for the students, as well as acknowledged by the Business community and walking the "imaginary red carpet"....several students got contracts, job interviews and jobs! These networking events also raised the knowledge and profile of the college in the community. Was recognized and made a "Fellow" at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design for her work, support, donations, sponsorship and mentoring at the College.

From a one woman working in her basement to a store and studio, Trudy lead Bejewel to an Award Winning art jewellery studio located in downtown Fredericton, NB. Trudy and her team, custom design and hand built of Bejewel's jewellery in house and shipped across Canada, had some select accounts in the United States, sold for three years to Japan and had several hard core fans in England.Bejewel represented Canada at the Philadelphia Museum Art Craft Show, represented NB at the 2010 Olympics, was chosen to be the top prize for the launch of Ganong's new candy "Jewels" and numerous Atlantic Canada's Award of Excellence: including Industry Leader, Outstanding Exporter, Best New Work and Best Booth. Trudy won Fredericton's first Mentor award and was named one of Atlantic Canada's Top 50 CEO's. ACOA chose Bejewel as one of its top 14 success stories at a Gala, and featured Bejewel in some of its publicity and magazines. Bejewel was featured in Jewellery Business Magazine.Has personally been responsible for everything from managing and training staff, heading up Bejewel's team for trade-shows, handled Accounts Payable, Receivable, designed and worked as customer service in Bejewel's store.Has given demonstrations, tours, and spoken at Career Days at local schools when asked. Bejewel has also been home for several high school students doing work placements, as well as hosting two Brazilian students doing their practicums before returning to Brazil.

DFI is the Downtown Fredericton Incorporated, an organization representing 650 members who have businesses within the Downtown boundaries. - Participated in collaborating on the marketing committee- Provided Leadership as DFI President- Advocated for many local downtown businessesHaving had the opportunity with work to travel and see first hand the decline and struggle of many Canadian downtown centers, Trudy is extremely proud of Fredericton's alive and thriving Downtown core. From parking, to pedestrian safety, traffic, driving traffic, festivals and all other social, economic and culture, Trudy has discovered that all citizens can easily be heard and have a voice in their city by being active and speaking up! Fredericton has been recognized for being a Cultural Capital, Smart City, Best Street and Best Place to live in Canada. This speaks volumes for the fantastic City Hall and Mayor, DFI and other organizations, businesses and individuals who work hard at keeping Fredericton the dynamic, economic and cultural capital of New Brunswick.

Developed the concept, pitched, wrote and hosted Roger’s Television show Fashion-East-Ah! during the years 2006, 2007 and 2008. Was responsible for the content and program development, and ultimately became the show’s line producer as well. Believed the Maritimes was overlooked as a fashionable and eventful region in Canada. Researched and presented people who were perhaps not well known in the rest of Canada, but who were doing wonderful, innovative work and could be considered very fashionable in their fields.
