Returning to Vietnam during the turbulent times of 2020, when the world was grappling with COVID-19, I embarked on my investment journey after earning a bachelor's degree in finance. Despite four years of studying finance and countless hours dedicated to learning about investing through classes and CFA materials, I found myself unprepared for the harsh realities of the market.It took me two years to gain a solid understanding of the market while juggling two jobs—working for a fintech investment startup and pursuing a master's degree at Zhejiang University. It wasn't until I began preparing my thesis that I realized how challenging it is for the average person in Vietnam to invest successfully, given the financial literacy provided by schools and everyday life.This realization fueled my ambition: to become a personal financial consultant dedicated to helping as many Vietnamese people as possible achieve their financial goals. With this vision in mind, I founded YPFP (Your Personal Financial Planner) in 2023. My hope is that YPFP will significantly contribute to raising financial literacy levels in Vietnam, guiding individuals towards their financial goals and, ultimately, financial freedom.
