CurrentAs the Engineering Manager of the Travel Delivery team, I lead a dynamic group overseeing the development and optimization of our Travel platforms, encompassing Flight bookings, Hotel reservations, and Car rentals. Emphasizing the "3 P"s - Product, Process, and People, I go beyond traditional managerial responsibilities to drive excellence and innovation within the team.I spearheaded the establishment of a new Travel Delivery team, assembling a talented group of four engineers who swiftly delivered key projects, including Flight bookings for Money 2020 and our inaugural client within a demanding four-month timeframe.Navigating through complex challenges, we successfully orchestrated the timely launch of Hotels despite year-end slowdowns and the collaboration of multiple teams and stakeholders. Transitioning into my managerial role, I implemented various initiatives to foster team communication and development, including regular internal meetings and personalized one-on-one sessions, ensuring each team member receives tailored feedback and support.In addition to managerial duties, I maintain a hands-on approach in technical matters, acting as a guardian of quality for Travel Flights and Hotels, while leading discussions on critical issues. My leadership extends to cross-organizational activities such as hiring initiatives and Tech Friday sessions, nurturing team cohesion and professional growth.Furthermore, I actively promote our tech team visibility by encouraging participation in industry events, resulting in several team members presenting at conferences both locally in Singapore and internationally.
