Between jobs, I went back to a trade I learned as a teenager; renovating homes. In the process, I found a market opportunity. Working construction was a means to put myself through college. In my recent venture, I got to put those skills to good use again after years of operating businesses in the corporate world. While renovating a project an idea was sparked to “pre-sell” homes that are in the process of reconstruction. A HIP (home in process) is the stage where all of the renovation work is completed than it is listed for sale. The mindset is to wait until construction is complete. Today,this is simply to slow and archaic. Believing, I found substantial demand for flipped homes and no services available to match buyers to investors of a HIP. Developers of new communities do it all the time; what is to say that it cannot work for the existing HIP? This thought process led to founding HIPHom~Fliphom; “a Flippin’ Market”. Think about it, engaging early, the buyer has a chance to have input in the design of the completed home and the fixer can save tens of thousands by promoting the property early. To bring this about I have built a platform to easily enable this relationship. I am excited about this new venture to establish the preeminent site to unite home buyers and fixer’s of flipped homes.
