About Kathryn Lynch

'Not all the lights have to be green' - that is a line from one of those 'strengths finder' tests I did years ago, that stayed with me and can probably sum up my career, my life and my personality.I am increasingly focusing my efforts in bringing all the aspects of my professional life to create meaningful impact with ‘stuff that matters’.I am powered by purpose when troubleshooting business, societal or organisational challenges and creating 'future state' operating models to solve them. I embrace ambiguity and abhor nonsense. There is never only ONE problem to solve so I bring ALL my experiences to bear - strategy, foresight, digitalisation, innovation, leadership coaching and sustainability to the challenge - the 'Swiss Army Knife' approach.I put that purpose into practice in my consultancy business and more widely as the Vice-Chair of Innovate Island and National Chair of the Fine Gael Small Business & Enterprise Council and a board advisor to a UK start-up in the circular economy. With a focus on creating impact, I have been a member of The Public Service Innovation Advisory Board, the national SME Taskforce for Growth, focusing on Productivity, Digitalisation and Competitiveness, and the International Working Group for ISO56001 Innovation Management Standards. I was recently a (lonely!) industry rep on the EU Working Group for Industry/Academia Collaboration.I value continual development highly and have just extended my sustainability learning with an inaugural MSc in Sustainable Enterprise (UCC). My thesis research focuses on women in sustainability - and the drivers, enablers and barriers to them creating an effective professional identity as sustainability leaders. The PhD is next! My specialities include:* Applying foresight and futures thinking to strategy development and planning* Designing & implementing enterprise change strategies - digital, sustainable, scalable* Developing enterprise innovation capabilities - helping organisations respond to a rapidly changing marketplace.* Coaching and developing Executives and leaders in scaling, performance and innovation.* Developing and growing intrapreneurship and corporate venture strategies and capabilities, coherent with the ISO5600x Innovation Standards.* Growing enterprise productivity and collaboration skills. * Asking probing questions (apparently! :-))"Her eagerness to accept challenges and venture into the unknown and question the status quo brings a fresh perspective to organisational issues together with innovative solutions" - Client, 2019

Listed skills include Program Management, Strategic Consulting, Business Transformation, Entrepreneurship, and 48 others.
