I’m energized and inspired when I am supporting entrepreneurs and innovative Canadian companies. I am working to realize the international business potential of this country I love by making connections and sharing resources between the private sector, government, academia, and nonprofits. Our shared values and raison d'être are aligned - we just have to keep bravely working together.Over my career I have taught, researched and written on technology and innovation. During almost 10 years at the department of Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED) I worked in policymaking processes at the forefront of this shift, including privatization of the DNS/IANA, reform of the domain name registration database (WHOIS), a multistakeholder Internet of Things (IoT) security initiative, and the creation of a law for artificial intelligence (AI) and data (https://www.parl.ca/legisinfo/en/bill/44-1/c-27) in Canada. I have supported Canada's international contributions on Internet governance, cybersecurity, privacy, responsible innovation and data, at the UN, ICANN, OECD and G7/G20.Cliftonstrengths: Includer - Strategic Thinking - Connectedness - Developer - Learner
