About Thomas Edgar

I believe the key to building a great team is by finding the best possible talent. When I say the best talent I don't necessarily mean the most skilled or the most experienced. I believe that a positive attitude is the key to putting together a cohesive team. If people have a great attitude and an aptitude for learning, you can develop great employees. It is often easier to teach someone the skill than it is to teach them to have a positive attitude. I have 15 years of leadership experience managing teams ranging from 20 to 50 people. The teams include technical teams, project teams and service teams. I have expertise in staff development, staff motivation, team leadership, team building, service quality improvement and process improvement. I get great enjoyment from helping others improve themselves and seeing them progress in their careers.After many years in leadership, I believe it is vital for teams to always look for ways to improve on how things are done. Working smarter is something I believe in and I lead with that mindset. If you can improve processes and get a job done in 40 hours from what used to take 45 hours, that helps the organization and the employees. Work should be challenging, rewarding and something that you enjoy doing. I enjoy working with people and love to lead. Seeing others succeed is the greatest joy I can have.
