As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Overlooked Group, I work on a coal washing plant for Kwena Mining, a contractor under Overlooked mine. I have gained hands-on experience in repairing pumps, workshop machinery, welding, plant maintenance, inspection and HDPE pipe repairs using different techniques and equipment. I have also implemented and followed safety procedures and preventative maintenance practices, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the plant operations.I hold a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, where I acquired a solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering concepts, laws, standards, codes, and specifications. I have developed core competencies in 3D Computer Aided Design (3D CAD), Shutdown Planning, AutoCAD 2D, Commercial awareness, good reasoning and creative skills and other Microsoft Office applications. I am self-motivated, goal-oriented, driven, and innovative, with good managerial, communication, organizational, and planning skills. I believe in lifting and empowering others through the knowledge and experiences I have gained over time. I am eager to learn and grow as a professional Mechanical Engineer, and to contribute to the success of any engineering-related field and environment.
