Developed and implemented new business processes which enabled efficient change management and enterprise wide collaboration from concept initiation through development, launch, and retirement of products and services. Led the PLM Business Process teams through a major upgrade of Teamcenter Enterprise Automotive Solution involving a complete revalidation of all business processes, application integrations, user interfaces, and new product features.Managed the PLM application by identifying and verifying business process and application issues, prioritizing issues for resolution, and designing, testing and implementing solutions to those issues. Planned and managed the production release of revisions to the PLM application. Provided product change management expertise to product teams and developed product change management know-how within Lear. Directed the PLM teams to deliver a product meeting Lear expectations for quality, performance, reliability and cost.

Directed all engineering and design activities for Ford Truck and Passenger Car seating systems (U/P251, P221, P150, EN/FN114, S197) and Mazda Passenger Car seating systems (J56, J61).Directed the product engineering teams in the design and development of seating systems that meet or exceed Lear and customer expectations for quality, price, performance, manufacturability and reliability. Directed the U251 (Explorer) team to quality CP, HTFB, FEU, 1PP and J1 build events, including proper build support, issue resolution and data delivery to ensure a flawless 2006MY launch.

Development and implementation of Engineering Systems which improve the operational efficiency of Lear’s Seating Systems Division. Primary focus on PDM (Product Data Management) and LPMP (Lear Program Management Process). Directed all engineering and design activities for the DaimlerChrysler Division seating systems with an annual budget of over $30 million and a technical staff of over 50 engineers, designers and technicians. Developed new vehicle and advanced model year program concepts and associated quotes for product investment and engineering costs.

Provided Engineering Systems support to the Chrysler Division product development teams.Directed the Engineering Systems departments consisting of the following groups: Finite Element Analysis, Seat Trim Development, Configuration Management/Engineering Release, Industrial Design, Dimensional Management and CAD System Administration.Developed new vehicle/advanced model year program concepts and associated quotes for product investment and engineering costs.

Manage team of 25 engineers and designers supporting Dodge Ram truck seat systems product engineering with 1997 sales in excess of $280MM. Develop, forecast and manage multi-million dollar engineering budgets. Directed VA/VE and Continuous Engineering efforts to reduce cost, weight, warranty claims and improve J.D. Power ratings. Supported four manufacturing locations in the U.S. and Mexico. Maintained top J.D. Power ratings for 5 straight years since initial launch of the Ram truck in the 1994MY. Specified, purchased, installed, managed and staffed CAD (Catia) system.

Chrysler Division - Release engineer responsible for power and manual adjuster, inertia latches, recliners, lock bars, seat belt buckle and latch plate, power switch, wire harness, storage armrest/seat back, plastic handles/bezels, and complete rear seat.

Process engineering. Product design. Tooling design. Specification of manufacturing and ancillary equipment. Supervise the installation and upgrade of process equipment. Conduct time studies, machine capacity and ROI analysis. Heavy gage single sheet, twin sheet, and pressure forming processes. HDPE, PVC/Acrylic alloy, poly(etherimide) and poly(carbonate). Supervised the construction and installation of the largest twin sheet rotary thermoforming press in the nation. Familiar with injection, rotation, compression, RIM, RRIM, RT, and slush molding processes. Vacuum, pressure, and twin sheet thermoforming processes. Extrusion and thermoforming of HDPE and PVC/Acrylic alloy.
