About Terrence Tompkins

Downtown Spirits is a retail store in Downtown Seattle that sells libations and everything related to an extraordinary drinking experience. Our channels include brick & mortar, home delivery through both our website and partner apps, and delivery to local businesses. I both help the customer through their retail journey, and am responsible for the logistics that make that journey possible. On the front end, I design a fully engaging shopping experience both in person (brick and mortar) and online. On the back end, I optimize purchasing costs across intricate supplier pricing systems. In between the front end and back end, I work closely with suppliers (importers, distributors and sometimes producers) to maintain a unique and desirable product mix, and to drive margin through exclusive products and product picks.After several years of operations in South Lake Union, Downtown Spirits closed its original 7th Ave location in January 2023, and reopened its new 7th Ave location in July 2023 as the first liquor store to use Amazon's Just-Walk-Out technology.In 2023, Downtown Spirits acquired Esquin, an exceptional store in SODO with a long history of supplying Seattle with an amazing wine selection.
