• Research and development for new product design and engineering of motor control centers, switchboards, panelboards, safety switches and transformers offers.• Lead engineering team activities, and served as a reference for consulting mechanical queries.• Used Inventor and ProE CAD software to create 2D drawings and 3d models of parts and assemblies.• Used tolerance manager, ISO 8015 and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) standards.• Prepared design records, databases, BOM's and master part lists for the offer configurations.• Conducted design research, feasibility studies, and market analysis to identify user needs and design opportunities. • Collaboration with peers and stakeholders to make sure targets and milestones were met.• Prepared design documentation, specifications, and manuals, and ensured compliance to engineering best practices.• Performed design, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications (UL, NOM, CSA, IEC, NEC and NEMA).• Provided technical support to the production line, evaluate deviations, implementation of new products and assistance with troubleshooting.• Attended Thermoset polyester training at Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.• Conducted prototype building for Switchboards at Smyrna, Tennessee, USA and for Transformers on site.• Conducted short-circuit current verification and validation lab tests for switchboards, trained at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA.• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to assist a next gen transformers project at Huntington, Indiana, USA.
