I strive to make things a little better than I found them.I get my energy from being able to work on a range of challenges across different industries, navigating ambiguity and embracing new ways of thinking. In many ways, brand and marketing consulting chose me! And while it may have chosen me, seeing the meaningful results I have contributed to for people & organisations is what has made me stay! My passion for people and problem-solving (the what) first led me down the path of a BA in Psychology (the how) in my early days, but I quickly realised that my what and how were not exactly aligned. My curiosity then led me to discover the world of brand and marketing, just as the understanding of the relationship between people, planet and profit was gaining traction, and so took up my Honours in Brand Management. I had finally found alignment between my what and how.But as the rate of change in the world increased, the environment became more complex and perhaps the thinking of yesterday may not be cutting it today, I wondered how I could stay effective in this context. This led me to my most recent chapter where I completed my MPhil in Corporate strategy, to sharpen and broaden my tools.Over the past 10 years, I have led, managed and contributed to the delivery of projects for listed organisations in South Africa, in and for multinationals across Africa and Europe and for start-ups on the continent and beyond. I continue to look for and embrace different problems, and continue to challenge myself to find new ways – to make things a little better.
