I am a passionate advocate for sustainable building design. As a graduate of Fanshawe College's Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology with office and on-site experience, I am eager to contribute my skills and experience to a company that values sustainable building practices and high-performance design.During my time at Fanshawe, I had the opportunity to engage with our net-zero energy ready retrofit project at Fanshawe's Kestrel Court student townhouse residence which incorporated sustainable building practices, such as evaluation of material embodied carbon and energy modeling. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of sustainable building practices in promoting environmental stewardship, reducing our carbon footprint, and designing high-performance buildings.Outside of my professional work, I have also been actively involved in the Fanshawe College community as a member of the Board of Governors and as Chair of the Fanshawe Student Union's Board of Directors. In these roles, I had the opportunity to develop my understanding of policy development, advocate for students, and promote discussions among college leadership about building a sustainable future for Fanshawe. I collaborated with student organizations, faculty, and staff to promote the development and implementation of initiatives to improve sustainability across the campus community.I am excited to bring my passion for sustainable building design, my interest and growing experience in building science and leadership to a new role where I can contribute to meaningful projects that align with my values.
