Completed development on 45MW California wind project. Negotiated commercial terms for PPM’s first Siemens wind turbine supply agreement.

Led development activities of individual wind energy and gas fired energy projects including securing land, permitting, electrical interconnect, public outreach, turbine purchase, and securing Board approvals. Directed due diligence activities and led contract negotiations on various asset acquisitions. Supported due diligence and negotiations on two California wind projects now operational totaling 450MW. Commercial lead in securing over 1,200 MW of GE wind turbines via strategic partnership with very favorable pricing and terms under a long-term supply agreement for 2003 through 2007 projects. Led due diligence and EPC negotiations, as well as co-led the acquisition of a 162 MW wind project in Colorado. Completed all development activities on 51 MW Minnesota wind project, Scottish Power’s first equity investment into a US wind project. Led and completed all the development efforts for the 525MW Oregon CCGT power project and re-permitted operating 100MW dual fuel gas-fired peaker project.

Equity investor in start-up company funded with $150 million Warburg-Pincus venture capital. Co-led the east coast development strategy. Directed the development of a 950MW combined cycle project in Oklahoma. Managed and led all the major supply and off-take contract negotiations. Negotiated $230 million turnkey EPC contract with Black & Veatch / Zachary and secured three 501F combustion turbines in the secondary market.

Led and managed multi-faceted teams in the development of Midwest merchant power projects. Responsible for closing the various off-take and construction contracts of the operational 550MW RS Cogen project with industrial customer PPG Industries. Led contract negotiations on all long-term power and steam off-take agreements, gas turbine, EPC and O&M contracts, and an option for six additional 501F gas turbines. Key team member in securing $220 million of non-recourse project financing. Negotiated and executed joint development agreement with a strategic partner on 320MW gas-fired peaking project.

Responsible for global gas turbine pricing strategies, competitive analysis and marketing plans. Helped guide commercial terms and risk management for the 501G gas turbine US launch.
