In production, I've worked as a freelance Art Assistant, Production Assistant and Office Production Assistant. As an art assistant for Pop Fizz Productions, I provided support to the art director, created art projects during preproduction and constructed those projects during production as onscreen talent. As an office production assistant for Yonder Inc. it was my responsibility to upkeep and disburse daily call sheets, assemble storyboards, ensure each crew member had necessary paperwork on set and to assist the production supervisor with wrap paperwork and payroll documents. As a production assistant for both Pop Fizz and Yonder Inc, I anticipated needs of the production team, took and ordered meals for crew, assisted the Covid compliance officer with daily procedures, managed a light crafty table, ran errands and assisted wherever I was needed.

Ideation is my biggest strength & passion. As a freelance creative director, my work begins with a consultation to understand the ‘big picture’ desired by clients and to culminate a cohesive brand image. From there, I strategize the process and communication elements needed to creatively fuel that vision from initial conception to final execution. Continuing to manage the implementation of those ideas, I ensure the chosen strategy and art design is reflective of the organization’s goals and objectives. I employ digital communications, graphic design and photography to create compelling images, inspired campaigns and strengthened brand strategies. WUTK-FM is an independent, non-commercial college radio station owned by the University of Tennessee (UT) and operated by the UT Department of Journalism and Electronic Media. For over 35 years, WUTK has supplied Knoxville with local music, modern rock, hip hop, electronic, Americana, classic alternatives, new releases, world music and everything from heavy metal to old school funk. My first experience with WUTK was as a student deejay during my sophomore year, hosting a two hour block of scheduled music alongside a student co-host. During my senior year, I came back to WUTK as an intern and served on the music department. As an intern, I contributed to the radio blog, and also worked and tabled events on behalf of WUTK. As a member of the music department I listened and reviewed new music submissions, greatly honing my skills as a musical tastemaker by finding a balance between objective judgement and subjective discernment in music. After interning, I was presented with the opportunity to host my own specialty show. I began exclusively deejaying Soul Power, supplying the Knoxville community with two hours of the best in old school and new school soul every Sunday -- taking requests, reading sponsored liners, hosting events and staying on top of the newest releases in the realm of soul!

Born from a tireless passion for the power of music and amplified by creative strategies, Crossover Touring was founded to provide customized touring for multi-genre artists. I began my career with Crossover as an intern, primarily conducting research, updating the company website and maintaining social platforms, and also assisting in any area that was needed. After interning, I accepted a part-time position as a marketing director. This new role generally revolved around the following aspects of tour promotions: creating flyers and admats, writing press releases, coordinating tour announcements with promoters, making graphics for social media, reaching out to media outlets, creating newsletters and social media posting on behalf of artists. From working with marketing, I accepted a full time agent assistant position, offering administrative services to agents, as well as the agency as a whole. As an assistant, I provided the following services: updating files and assets on behalf of artists, receiving and revising offers to create deal memos, managing multiple inboxes, sending and receiving contracts, requesting and tracking ticket counts for individual shows and full tours, tracking deposits/payments, sending and updating tour itineraries, requesting and logging final settlements for shows, supervising and assigning tasks to interns and participating in the process of pitching artists to talent buyers.

Study Break Cypher is an organization at the University of Tennessee that promotes student expression and engagement through music, with a core emphasis in hip hop. As a creative services director, I managed the design, development and creation of Study Break’s flyers, social media content and logo. I documented activities though photos and videos, and assisted with the planning and execution of events. The organization as a whole coordinated campus-wide cyphers on the last Thursday of every month. Serving as a cypher host, I introduced performers, monitored the flow of the schedule & encouraged crowd participation.

Culture Shock Society is an organization created to educate, empower and engage the public to experience other cultures, with a concentration in black-centred programming on campus. Focused on inclusiveness, enlightenment, & social progression, the organization was founded to promote the awareness, self-expression, & personal development of all individuals. As the founder, I built the concept of the club, designed our logo, and managed our brand image. Serving as the director, I executed all planning, budgeting, scheduling, and organizing while leading a multinational team. I also designed CSS’ online magazine and served as editor -n-chief.

American Kiosk Management is a trusted leader in direct-to-consumer retail operations for some of the world’s top brands. AKM has perfected the art of specialty retail marketing, operating over 1,000 carts, kiosks, pop-up stores and automated retail locations throughout North America, Australia and New Zealand. As a sales associate contracted through Proactiv, I performed in a fast-paced sales environment, conducted consultations to determine customers’ needs in order to offer solutions, maintained a clean and organized work area by performing daily beautifications and restocking products, operated opening and closing procedures, logged sales reports and made bank deposits.

The Learning by Giving Foundation promotes effective charitable giving by awarding grants to colleges and universities for students to distribute to local nonprofit organizations across the U.S. As a student ambassador, one of my main functions was creating task schedules for the class. I helped build and upkeep our class website along with the two other ambassadors. I captured pictures and videos of the Learning by Giving course and documented the story of the course on the Foundation's website. Our website went on to win the grand prize for Learning by Giving class blogs — we earned an extra $2,000.00 to gift local nonprofits, as well as individual incentives for our execution.

One Stop streamlines the most common student services into one location. Their goal is to make university students' experience with enrollment, academic records, financial aid, and making payments as smooth, efficient, and friendly as possible. As a student assistant, my main priority was greeting & assisting students with their needs. As one of the first faces that students see and approach upon entering, having a positive disposition and an in-depth knowledge of our office was key. I also maintained the presence of the front office, received and updates files, and conducted paperwork runs to other offices.

Festival Witch was created to provide music lovers with an easy way to discover artists on lineups by giving them a more productive way to build their personal schedules. A musical community filled with people moved by the power of music, I was proud to be stationery in the foundation and start-up of the platform. I participated in both brainstorming discussions and strategic sessions on execution, sharing my insight as both a festival lover and my visual services as a creative director. Working with Festival Witch, I created the company’s logo, planned marketing events, developed visual content and materials and also contributed to brand management.

Getbandposters.com is a company kickstarted by musicians, managers and marketers who got sick of doing work the hard way. The company’s mission is to help take the hassle away from promotional efforts by using powerful design tools to create custom posters, printing data directly on the posters (like tour dates or destinations), and printing and shipping every poster directly to venues. As a social growth coordinator, my first task was developing a deep understanding of the flow of demand for the company & learning how to keep up with it. My role included: running social media accounts, using additional platforms to gain more followers and future customers, blogging on behalf of the company, and conducting interviews with current customers to gauge areas of improvement.

As an Ignite Team Leader, I was employed by the university to help first year students transition into their freshman year at UTK. My role involved creating inclusive environments for students attending our programs, mentoring first year team leaders, and facilitating (as well debriefing) community engagement programs and activities. Under the guidance of myself and my Ignite partner, our participants engaged in conversations with UT alumni and city leaders, toured the city of Knoxville, served local nonprofits, and participated in leadership activities. Through training for this position I enrolled in full courses and workshops on leadership development, personal development and counselor development — in both my work and personal life, I still find myself pulling on the tenets I learned in each of those areas.
