Having always been an artistic child, it only seemed natural for me to set out along a creative path. The influences of my childhood loves of doodling, paper dolls, and catalogues can still be seen within my whimsical, yet elegant, illustrations that reflect my fierce dedication to being a fashion innovator. Known for my unique recycled paper collages, I continue to expand my boundaries through my vector art creations. Education grew out of my love of sharing what I know with others and an understanding that images help us create strong connections. As an educator, I am dedicated to the belief all children will learn. For the past several years, I have worked as a classroom teacher. During this time, I have infused my art background into a variety of standards correlated hands-on learning experiences to deepen my students' understanding. One of my greatest delights being a teacher has been the opportunities for me to expose young learners to technology, graphics programs, and the basics of design.Experience has shown me the same differentiated approaches for children that expand their horizons as thinkers, explorers, and problem solvers also have helped me grow as a designer. Currently, I am a sought after illustrator for a growing number of children's storybook projects. My distinctive characters are popular for their expressiveness and playful fashion sense.
