Patient Access Specialist – Access Management Dept.• Obtain authorization from patients’ various health insurance coverages for their upcoming MRI’s, CT scans, etc.• Communicate directly with doctors, nurse practitioners, fellows, and other various members of the Dana Farber care teams• Provide important clinical information to nurses from patient office visit notes, prior scans, prior lab results, and other important documents that assure medical necessity for the requested scans• Familiar with Epic, Percipio, and other electronic resources utilized by the staff at all Partners locations• Answer to various patient questions regarding their appointments, scan authorizations, and other matters regarding personal matter with a sense of confidentiality and honesty to provide the best care for the patient

General oversight of office workflow. Manage billing and planning processes, and contribute to key editorial pieces and financial planning for the company.
