Current student veteran at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville majoring in Construction Science & Agricultural. After 10 years as a United States Naval Aircrewman (Petty Officer First Class), I have shifted my career goals to construction management. The Navy provided a clear path to mold leadership and decision making skills to prepare for this career. Working well as a team to carry out each mission, support squadron activities and meet goals, was a top priority. After the deployment rotations I became certified as an instructor, and excelled in training and developing training plans to help students succeed in the classroom environment. Later, I chose to become certified as a personal trainer, to develop better exercise programs for other sailors. Before separating, I attended EMSTA college to become a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician. My experience and education so far has prepared me for success at UTK, and my career in construction management.
