I support Street Child's mission to ensure that girls and boys are safe, in school and learning, with and through amazing local partners. My role begins with support for Street Child's regional and senior country managers, helping them to design and oversee strategy, mobilize resources, manage teams, and implement high quality programming. At the central level, I work under the CEO and with other senior Street Child leadership to design and deliver organizational strategy, to support and develop talent, to drive program performance, to mobilize resources, and to represent the great work of our staff and partners in global fora.

Provide direct support to the ECW Chief of Education in the design and development of ECW investments. Led the development of three Multi-Year Resilience Programs for Libya, Pakistan and Afghanistan while supporting the quality assurance for other MYRPs and First Emergency Response (FER) investments global. Includes support to rapid COVID-19 FER investments and MYRPs developed to respond to protracted emergency in the central Sahel and for the Venezuela refugee and migrant crisis. Have supported the education team to ensure that programs meet quality standards and are aligned with the principles established in ECW’s Strategic Plan and Operations Manual.

Provided direct policy analysis and guidance to the Minister of International Development and Director General (DG) on matters related to education in emergencies. Provided policy support to the DG in her role as the Chair of the Executive Committee of Education Cannot Wait (ECW) and engaged in ECW processes including the drafting and finalization of the Operational Manual.

Lead researcher for UNESCO International Institute of Education Planning project looking at factors that enable and constrain the Ministry of education during crisis. Country-level research lead in both Jordan and the development of the overall methodological and analytical frameworks for further research in Kenya and Burkina Faso.

Developed a training of trainers and facilitate a workshop to enhance the UNICEF EiE eLearning program through the development of new modules focused on Children on the Move and the Humanitarian–Development Nexus

Wrote discussion paper exploring the relationship between access to education and the humanitarian principles during times of conflict; provided framing for ICRC thought leadership seminar on the role of humanitarian actors in safeguarding access to education

Reviewed and wrote synthesis of the key data, evidence and research gaps related to the barriers to women’s and girls’ education in crisis and conflict-affected situations

Developed new and revised existing EU-ECHO’s internal policy guidance on Education in Emergencies including eleven new technical annexes

As a member of Save the Children’s leadership, managed the co-leadership of the Global Education Cluster through the development and guidance of both internal and external facing strategy. Managed a global team of coordination experts and led advocacy efforts to ensure that education is prioritized by donors and humanitarian decision-makers, and that human capacity is developed and available to provide the highest-standard of response for children in crisis
