Beyond this, our Competition team, known for its high-intensity performances, trained daily to compete both in North Carolina and beyond, including states like Virginia.Choreographing wasn't just about sequences; it was about ensuring precision, technique, and conveying the essence of our heritage. This role saw me diving deep into teaching specific dance techniques, posture, and rhythm sensitivity.Off the dance floor, logistics were equally vital. I curated costumes that reflected our themes, crafted cohesive music mixes, and ensured smooth transitions for our performances. Additionally, I collaborated closely with other campus organizations and neighboring colleges, ensuring that Zankiliwa made a significant impact wherever we performed.

Our hands-on approach took us to Washington Square Park, where we gathered samples, cultivated microbes in petri dishes, and then meticulously analyzed them. Our findings shed light on the array of harmful viruses present in these microbes, offering invaluable insights into their implications for human health.
