Assisted with building a political rap database, by analyzing lyrics of Hip-Hop and R&B songs. The political rap database documents rap songs that make political references and examine their political attitudes. To build the database, data-scraped all songs that contained certain political terms. Analyzed texts that highlighted the role of Hip-Hop in political and social spaces, the initiatives it has prompted, and the evolution of the American general public’s attitudes towards the genre.
