Supported the unit’s network connectivity for over 35,000 users on Bagram Airfield in support of Operations Enduring Freedom.•Served as a Cable Installer/Maintainer for the 580th Signal Company Outside Plant Section. Hand-picked by the commander to support the Air Force 35th Signal Brigade Theater Provisional Engineering and Installation team to complete a multi-million-dollar project on Forward Operating Base (FOB) Lighting. Being knowledgeable allowed seamless installation of over 52,077 feet of Cat 5, Cat 6, and 1880 feet of Fiber Optic Cable over NIPR, SIPR, and CX-1 networks. •Performed an integral part in planning, coordinating, and executing improvements to the physical security of FOB Fenty’s communication infrastructure. Identified issues, delegated duties, and responsibilities among his peers while providing oversight to ensure expeditious improvements. Repaired in the reinforcement of two Technical Control Facility perimeter fences and eight intermediate distribution node entry points reinforced with upgraded cipher locks enhancing physical security. •Dedication to duty and sound tactical awareness while serving as a team leader effectively allowed him to manage his team’s welfare by enforcing correct security procedures, individual movement techniques, and proper escalation of force. Demonstrated the capability to take control in any given situation, including five indirect fire attacks by conducting personnel accountability reports while maintaining constant cognizance of his surroundings.

63rd Signal Battalion Fort Gordon, Georgia•Responsible for installing, operating, and performing maintenance on cable and wire communications systems. Significantly contributed to the readiness, effectiveness, and esprit de corps of the unit and by motivated fellow soldiers by setting the example. •Served as a cable systems installer/maintainer in outstanding performance, attention to detail, and professional expertise were instrumental in the signal center of excellence upgrading its headquarters cable infrastructure to support future communication requirements. •Performed tests on cable communications systems to ensure circuit and system quality. Operates manual and motorized cable construction equipment, climb poles, as necessary, and assists in the construction of tactical cable and wire lines.

59th Signal Battalion Fort Richardson, Alaska•Displayed exceptionally service during and in support of Operation Northern Edge’09. Installed and performed unit level maintenance on cable and wire communication security (COMSEC) devices and associated equipment. •Recognizes electronic countermeasures and applies appropriate electronic counter-countermeasures as necessary. Operates and performs PMCS on telephone lines and other vehicles. Installs, operates, and performs PMCS on power generators.•Contributed to the success of the Japan – United States bilateral command post exercise, YAMA-SAKURA 55. Professionalism and effort to accomplish the mission, understanding for friendly relationship between Japan and United States was a great benefit to the United States Armed Forces. •Maintained cable and wire systems, to include Digital Group Multiplexers (DGM), Remote Multiplexing Combiners (RMC), repeaters, restorers, voltage protection devices, telephones, and test stations.
