May 2023 - Present

Retail Specialist

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

Employed shortly after my induction at Merrimac Tavern, I shared responsibility for stock count and reconciliation for the Bottle Shop franchised by the Tavern. I was tasked with driving sales through customer-focused relationships, especially within a close-knit community. Drawing on my personal life, I provided recommendations for stock replacements that contributed to growth within the business, eventually providing for the expansion of the Tavern's franchises amongst the Gold Coast area.

Jan 2023 - Nov 2024

Bartender

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

After taking a few months off from the workforce, I began my employment at Merrimac Tavern as an experienced bartender adept in cocktails and the responsible service of alcohol. This was a transition in which my operational skills within a fast-paced, high-patron venue were not immediately transferrable,. I found the slower, more personal atmosphere challenging initially. To rectify this disparity between my skills and the requirements of the Merrimac Tavern, I took a particular interest in furthering my interpersonal skills, developing close relationships with all regular customers and being able to talk about things external to the role or customer service. This opportunity's advocation for personal relationships and community will be invaluable in developing my ability to work effectively in a constantly evolving team.Working in this role throughout the latter half of my tertiary studies along with my involvement in the Queensland Reds Rugby Union Academy and Bond University 1st XV Colts program has extended my ability to manage my time and to meet all deadlines without deviation.

Sep 2022 - Nov 2024

Queensland Reds U19 Academy Player

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Continuing my high-performance sporting pedigree, I transitioned into the Queensland Reds' development pathway after relocating to Queensland in 2021. Having experience in representative teams, I carried my ability to connect with new people into this position with excitement. Beginning my double degree while participating in a quasi-professional environment only served to bolster my ability to work collaboratively and seek inspiration from others whilst retaining my own internal feedback loops.

Apr 2021 - Oct 2022

Bartender

Burleigh Pavillion

Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia

Transitioning from a three-hundred-patron venue to a larger one in the Burleigh Pavillion only furthered my ability to manage my time effectively, prioritise, and deliver client satisfaction. Having never bartended before, I was thrust into a position that required immense and immediately accessible knowledge of cocktails and alcohol service. To rectify my deficit in this area, I found the most experienced supervisors and bartenders to be of aid, relying on their support during busy periods until I could serve individually. It was only a short time until I worked weekend nights and contributed to record sale nights, being tasked to operate a station alone whilst the others had two team members operating simultaneously. My supervisors praised my ability to work tirelessly and quickly, resulting in any bartender's highest regular sales figures. This opportunity aided my ability to recognise my deficits, see others' strengths, and combine them to effect optimal customer experience and operational efficiency. It also saw me further my delegation and people organisation skills as time went on.

Jan 2022 - Jul 2022

Food And Beverage Attendant

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

My first role in Queensland was one where effort and commitment were the highest priority. This industry is not one for everyone; thus, my ability to communicate and relate to my team members was integral to my success. Transitioning from the most junior member to a team leader within one year demonstrates my commitment to the company and the demands synonymous with late night and early morning hours.Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of a three-hundred patron venue with a team of one to three, my customer service skills were challenged daily and developed into a new-found confidence in delegation, people management, and innovation. I contributed significantly to the efficiency of the venue, forwarding new ideas to manage processes better whilst maximising the patrons' experience.

Landscaper

Simon & Co Gardens

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Upon completing my Higher School Certificate and before relocating to Queensland to begin my tertiary studies, I was employed as a Landscaper who worked casually whilst completing full-time hours. Knowing I would eventually work in a corporate environment, this opportunity contrasted the skills I would subsequently require with the skills I needed. The competing needs of my career and this job provided me with valuable opportunities to increase my work experience; albeit different to my goal.Working in this environment propelled my skills in project management and time management skills far beyond what they were throughout Year 12. This opportunity was responsible for my organisational abilities today and contributed to my ability to connect with people from all backgrounds and worldviews.

Swimming Instructor

United Sports Australila Pty Ltd

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Working with young children in a high-intensity, performance-focused atmosphere aided my introduction into the workforce, focusing on delivering results for clients. As my first job, I was placed into the highest level of 'Learn to Swim' due to my history in the sport and was tasked with transitioning high performers into the 'Squad' system.Responsible for up to twenty athletes at a time, United Sports developed my ability to take accountability and manage my efforts evenly. At the time of my employment, I was completing my Higher School Certificate and taking part in the 1st XV Rugby Union program at school whilst simultaneously being part of the NSW Waratahs Generation Blue Academy.
