About Tyson Rittenmeyer Lpc, Mt-Bc
My leadership style is steeped in the values of integrity, initiative, psychological flexibility, humility, honesty and vision. As a leader, I regularly seek to balance precision and gentleness for the employees I am overseeing and for myself. This moment-to-moment pursuit of a deeper wisdom is directed towards the center I support, its corresponding community partners, the teams I oversee, individual staff and self. I am confident in my ability to empower the teams I support and seek to balance that confidence with a consistent hunger to learn and grow on a personal and professional level. At times, when I think I know the absolute answer to a burning question, I often treat that "absolute knowing" as a cue to look deeper within, as well as lean on the knowledge of my staff to expand the approach towards the question in both the short and long term. I thrive as a team/department/organization leader for these reasons. My mental health supervision and treatment approach is rooted in relationship and the genuine goodness of all human beings. I believe that we are all striving for psychological balance and flexibility. We regularly face seemingly insurmountable obstacles such as shame, doubt, fear, anxiety and depression. In response, we seek out very reasonable strategies of short-term relief in effort to move away from these undesired internal states. I am most interested in helping people understand what they most value. From there I am invested in helping individuals accept and claim those values, lean into the undesired internal states and frightening external obstacles, and understand what coping styles may help them forge a path towards their long-term valued goals. With the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle, I strive to create an environment that helps my supervises and clients continuously move towards what is most important to them. I have earned a Master Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an additional focus in Music Therapy from Naropa University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Wisconsin and Oregon and nationally board-certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). I am skilled in Mental Health Administration, Clinical Supervision, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Music Therapy, Mental Health court examination/investigation, Group Therapy, Clinical Team Oversight and Crisis Intervention.
Listed skills include Music Therapy, Working With Adults, Dbt, Public Speaking, and 21 others.
