Tyson Thorne is a visionary leader who leverages design to help companies and organizations grow. As co-founder of creative agency Applied arts, his mission is to bring brand meaning to life, helping to create quality relationships between people and brands.Previously Tyson spearheaded the global design practice at Kimberly-Clark by leading internal teams and some of the world's best creative agencies to exploit design as a competitive differentiator. Accomplishments included codifying a Brand Identity Guidelines process for the Enterprise, launching a global brand restage for Kotex, and the refresh of the iconic Kleenex brand.Before that, he was Design Director at Johnson & Johnson, where he significantly revitalized the brand portfolios in their Over-the-Counter (OTC), and Consumer Healthcare sectors (for Listerine, Band-Aid, Tylenol, Lactaid, Sudafed, Zyrtec, and more). Later he assumed design leadership of Johnson & Johnson's Corporate Brand leading it through a renewal of their brand purpose and vision, and executing key programs including a first of its kind J&J Museum, The 2014 FIFA World Cup sponsorship activation in Brazil, and the creation of environmental brand standards for J&J's 900+ global facilities, amongst other accomplishments.Tyson began his career as a designer in New York City, at distinguished creative agencies TODA, and Smart Design. He studied Graphic Design at Andrews University in Michigan.
