Wrote two columns for the Tufts Daily's opinion pages. "Pretty Lawns and Gardens" (Fall 2018): I explored the interplay between finance and environmentalism within the context of global political ecology, while addressing pressing environmental problems at Tufts and beyond. "Repeal and Replace" (Spring 2019): I tackled community and fiscal problems at Tufts, suggesting rational, globally-contextualized solutions, some of which gained traction in student government and community discourse.

At the beginning of the COVID pandemic I launched a SaaS startup providing project management tools to college newsrooms and communications teams. I designed and developed web-based platform integrating design best practices and insights from user feedback, and deployed, tested, and targeted email marketing campaigns to drive our growth. Though I raised pre-seed funding commitments on a $500K valuation and hired small team of fellow Tufts undergraduates, StoryDesk hit roadblocks around product-market fit, and we closed at the end of 2020.

Corresponded with constituents in Massachusetts' Fifth Congressional District about their issues and concerns with government agencies including HUD and USCIS, noting their opinions on Representative Clark's votes and policy positions. Compiled weekly lists of local news, and wrote weekly briefs for Representative Clark on issues concerning the community, including urban development projects, pedestrian safety, and the discovery of PCBs in our towns. Assisted with ad-hoc projects including outreach for the Congressional App Challenge, and learned a more about functions of the legislative branch.

Worked with the Beacon Fellowship to analyze and evaluate emerging markets for food delivery in Uzbekistan, Iraq, and Jordan. Constructed unit economics models for target cities, analyzed traffic conditions, and conducted fieldwork interviews with local professionals.Presented our recommendations to the expansion team and the board.

I learned not just to fuse glass -- from my mother -- but to fuse business and art. Over seven years I earned over $15,000 in sales, learned about taxes, developed and honed my skills as an entrepreneur and an artist, and travelled throughout northern New York to dozens of fairs.Rubriataki set me on my current course: one where attention to detail matters, where customer service matters, and where the nuances of business operations, the creative process, and full and enthusiastic engagement with the community means success.I learned about web development while building www.Rubriataki.com, my online store, and digital marketing through Instagram and Facebook. The foundations of my business experience grew here for me, in middle school and early high school.I closed Rubriataki in 2016 to focus on college. Savings from Rubriataki helped me pay for my first year at Tufts.
