    Drove the first mile of the supply chain by leading a team of 25 Order Fulfillment Executives and Team Leads, who ensured ON TIME IN FULL delivery of market place/on demand furniture/non-furniture orders to the regional fulfillment centers,in turn driving timely deliveries to the customer. Hired and trained close to 70 percent of the team personally. The team manages more than 700 vendors among them, to make sure the orders are processed in the most efficient manner possible. Apart from being the first point of human contact for orders placed via the website, the team has evolved to monitor all orders placed via offline channels (studios, airports, store-in-store initiatives etc). The primary focus was on designing/building and implementing new processes in addition to taking corrective action for existing processes to make sure processes were efficiently business oriented at both the micro and macro levels. These processes mainly included the effective procurement of material from vendor locations and handing them over to the respective fulfillment centers. Apart from the above, designing processes for all offline business development channels like airport kiosks, Pepperfry studios and store-in-store initiatives was completed successfully. These were implemented with minor alterations at all locations. Procurement also meant efficient management of the inward fleet of more than 50 vehicles at the four fulfillment locations. Fleet management also included managing third party vehicle suppliers including activities like defining SLAs, drafting agreements and finally making sure the vendor delivers on the pre-defined SLAs. Overall, during the period we were able to reduce the cost/order by 5% month on month and improve productivity significantly.
