I am a partner in the IP, Tech and Data team at Brodies LLP.My expertise includes technology procurement, IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, intellectual property, data protection, ePrivacy and cyber risk. I regularly help clients in relation to the legal and commercial risks relating to the development and use of new technology, such as cloud-based services, digital transformation and projects involving AI, blockchain and big data. I am a Law Society of Scotland certified specialist in cyber security.I work with clients across a range of sectors including Technology, Financial Services, Media, Food & Drink, Charities & the Third Sector and the Public Sector. In the Technology sector I advise technology businesses and innovative tech start-ups, including fintech and AdTech.I regularly work alongside our Corporate team on the sale and acquisition of technology businesses, with particular expertise in private equity, and can help tech businesses work out what they need to do to get deal-ready.I'm interested in the application of disability discrimination legislation to the use of ICT, websites and apps.
