The European Parliamentary Network on Energy Solutions, Energy Solutions, is dedicated to integrated energy solutions in realizing the Energy Union – a tremendous political project in delivering affordable, secure and sustainable energy while creating jobs and growth as well as investments.2016 quickly became the year of action; 2017 the year of deliberations; 2018 the year of engagement – all step stones of the legislative process that too often addresses special interests from the energy sector, political parties or national governments that do not sufficiently take into account the well-functioning of the energy system as a whole – challenging the ability to reach common positions on legislative proposals with the ultimate risk of delaying the adoption of important legislation.

Nordenergi is the joint collaboration between the Nordic associations for electricity producers, suppliers and distributors.

The Union of the Electricity Industry - Eurelectric is the sector association which represents the common interests of the electricity industry at pan-European level, plus its affiliates and associates on several other continents. We currently have over 34 full members, representing the electricity industry in 32 European countries.

The EURELECTRIC Investment Action Plan assessed the main obstacles to investment in the liberalised power sector. Investments in regulated parts of the electricity value chain – distribution networks and transmission – were deliberately kept out of the report’s scope: they are not subject to the same constraints and face different challenges today.

The Sustainable Energy Advisor (SEA) supports the CARE International (CI) Poverty, Environment and Climate Change Network (PECCN) and CARE Danmark in developing, funding and implementing sustainable and pro-poor energy projects. Tasks include provision of technical support to proposal development, approval processes, and implementation. The SEA will help develop CARE standards and methods for quality management of energy projects, CO2 neutrality, and other pertinent issues. Based on experiences gained from this work, the SEA will support learning processes among CI members and Country Offices as well as CARE’s global advocacy initiative on climate change.
