The aim of the research was to investigate the use of PEM cell for the purpose of supplying energy for domestic purposes. The investigation was followed by a scaled model design, development and testing. In this project Simulink model was developed and simulated, followed by Proteus circuit design and simulation and finally implementation of the circuit in form of a physical circuit and its testing. Furthermore the problem facing by the UK Power Systems due to the excessive consumption of electricity was put forward and the solution was proposed and researched on by doing experimental work. Detailed analysis of the fuel cell was carried out in this project for its characterization and finding its electrical behaviour.
