If I had to describe myself using job titles, I'd go for Project Manager and Data Analyst. In a world where we are being bombarded with so much information, I discovered the importance of focused self-improvement. My lifelong learning journey began when I found myself leading Paradigm Initiative's DakataLIFE centre in Kano State. It was not enough to sensitise the community and build a network of volunteers. I had to do it while keeping costs down, maintaining standards and keeping my Manager in Lagos informed. So I took a course in project management and eventually earned my PRINCE2 certification. I used my knowledge to create a project management template for the DakataLIFE program. This made me more efficient and taught me the value of learning from best practice.I love data and I enjoy using numbers to tell a story but I feared teasing insights from data required complex coding. That all changed when I watched a Youtube video on R programming. I couldn't stop. I watched more videos and took the Google Data Analytics Course on Coursera. There were so many free resources online that I was able to set my own learning goals and I eventually developed a skill set focused around R programming, Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Since then, I have created visualisations that help organisations track trends, monitor progress and make informed decisions.I have worked in the social development sector with extensive work in digital literacy, basic literacy and public health projects. From meeting Community Elders, teaching life skills to young people from poor households, working with school support officers to improve their classroom monitoring skills, designing forms that can be deployed on mobile devices in rural areas with poor internet connectivity, collecting data to support decision-making and creating stunning graphics for presentations. I have done them all and continue to learn each day.I am looking for a job where I can utilise my project management and data analysis skills to help organisations reduce inequality. Adequate compensation packages are a must. I give my best when I know I don't have to worry about my next meal. I love organisations that provide a supportive team environment, ample opportunities for personal development and career progression. If that sounds like you, let's talk. I'm sure I have something to bring to your team. Certifications:PRINCE2 Practitioner | Google Data Analytics | Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered)
